Abstract:
To prevent a region to be fastened with a rivet from decreasing in fatigue strength as a gap is formed between the rivet and a through hole when a head of the rivet is plastically deformed too much.SOLUTION: There is provided a fastening device that comprises: an upper anvil 110 arranged facing an end face of a head of a rivet; a lower anvil arranged facing an end part of a shaft part of the rivet; and a pressing mechanism generating press force decreasing the distance between the upper anvil 110 and lower anvil along an axis X to plastically deform the rivet, wherein a bottom face 111 orthogonal to the axis X and a support face 112 gradually increasing in protrusion length L2 along the axis X to the bottom face 111 from an inner peripheral side to an outer peripheral side in a radial direction RD are formed on the end face 110a of the upper anvil 110, and an angle β of inclination of the support face 112 is smaller by a predetermined angle than the angle of inclination of an inclined face of the rivet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
