To prevent the galvanic corrosion of structural members, in a fastening structure in which a plurality of structural members including a structural member formed of a magnesium alloy or an aluminum alloy are fastened by a fastening member formed of a metal that is nobler in electrical potential than magnesium and aluminum.
A first structural member 10 formed of a magnesium alloy or the like and a second structural member 20 are stacked to align mounting holes 11, 21, the shaft 31a of a bolt 31 as a fastening member is inserted from the first structural member 10 side into the mounting holes 11, 21, and a nut 32 is screwed to the bolt from the second structural member 20 side. An insulator 40 formed of a synthetic resin is interposed between the structural members 10, 20 and the bolt 31 and the nut 32. The insulator 40 is composed of a sleeve 41 and a flange 42 as an integrated part and a washer 43 as a separate part. No migration of electrons is induced between the structural members 10, 20 and the bolt 31 and the nut 32, and thereby, galvanic corrosion can be prevented.
