Title:
FASTENING WITH DIFFERENTIALLY INCLINED AXIS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3229032
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To give retaining force to a fastening in its axis direction in tightening a bolt to the fastening, by tilting the receptacle hole for the fastening to prevent rotation of the fastening through cooperation between the inclined accepting hole and the body of the fastening when it is inserted in a panel.
CONSTITUTION: The fastening 10 is inserted in the receptacle hole 12. The longitudinal axis 16 of the cylindrical fastening is inclined about 45° against the surface 18 of the panel 14, and contains a bore 20 with a straight female thread, the longitudinal axis 22 of which is right-angle against the panel. The receptacle hole 12 is inclined against the panel at the same angle as the inclined axis 16 of the fastening. When the fastening is inserted into the receptacle hole 12, the inclination of the receptacle hole forms an elliptic surface that cooperates with the surface of the body of the fastening, and as a result, prevents rotation of the fastening in the panel, and gives retaining force to a bolt 24 or the like for the fastening in the axial direction, when the bolt is screwed into the fastening.
