Abstract:
PURPOSE: To permit an operational cog by a mandrel for a marking a fastener for aircraft wings by providing a pin in addition to the head portion with a coaxial smooth shaft, outer threads, inner threads, a mandrel means which is threaded with the inner threads to pull in the pin and a fastener holding member with a shape of a collar member.
CONSTITUTION: A threaded pin 10 comprises, in addition to a head 12, a smooth shaft 18, outer threads 14 on its edge end and inner threads 16 inside the outer threads 14. The smooth shaft 18, the outer threads 14 and the inner threads 16 are coaxial. A mandrel 22 comprises a threaded end 24 which is threaded with the inner threads 16, a safety groove 30 and a grooved tail end 26. The grooved tail end 26 is mounted on a power tool and the threaded end 24 is threaded with the inner threads 16 of the threaded fastener pin 10, so that the action of the power tool pulls the threaded fastener pin 10 into the hole for fixing the fastener. Finally the tool and the mandrel 22 are released, and a fastener holding member is mounted on the outer threads 16.
