To provide a fatigue testing apparatus for a holder for a roller bearing with which the fatigue characteristic of the holder in a state that it is built in a bearing can be evaluated correctly.
The fatigue testing apparatus has a constitution provided with a fixation part 6 used to fix a jig 10 on one side from among jigs 10, 11 whose shape is nearly identical to that of a rolling body 103 held by the holder 104 to be tested and which are inserted into at least two rolling-body holding parts (pockets) 104b at the holder 104 and a movement part (a reciprocating motion mechanism) 7 on which the jig 11 on the other side is mounted and which gives a reciprocating motion to the circumferential direction of the holder 104. A stress which is equal to a repeated stress caused by the lead/lag of the rolling body 103 acting on the holder 104 in a state that it is built in the bearing is given to the holder 104 to be tested.
