PURPOSE: To detect the faults in a short time and with high accuracy by comparing the input/output frequency corresponding to the types of transactions (TRS) with the count value of the input/output processes requested by a TR.
CONSTITUTION: In a TRS process 102 the TR processing is carried out based on the input data 101 corresponding to the TRS type. An input/output request counting means 103 monitors the TR input/output requests of the process 102, and counts the input/output request frequencies received after the start of the TR processing to sends the count value 106 to a fault occurrence deciding means 105. While a maximum input/output frequency value acquiring means 104 decides the type of the TRS from the input data 101 and sends the corresponding maximum input/output frequency value 107 to the means 105. The means 105 compares with monitoring the value 106 with the value 107 to decide the presence or absence of a fault and starts a fault recovery processing means 108 if the occurrence of the fault is decided.
