To provide a fault detector for a combustion equipment capable of effectively detecting a combustion fault caused by an exhaust blocking even in the case of the exhaust blocking at either end side of both longitudinal ends of a cylindrical body and preventing a detection fault caused by adherence of soot as much as possible.
In the fault detector for a combustion equipment comprising a combustion chamber temperature detecting means 25 provided on an upper part of a flat cylindrical body 1 for forming a combustion chamber of a burner B by a heat exchanger 2 to be heated by the burner B to detect an ambient temperature in the chamber, and a fault detecting means C for detecting a combustion fault of the burner B based on detection information of the means 25, the means 25 is provided at a center or substantially a center of a section of the body 1 in a longitudinal direction.
