PURPOSE: To retrieve and display an occuring fault at high speed and to efficiently perform the maintenance work of a centralized monitoring system, regarding the fault display method in a centralized monitoring system monitoring many devices to be monitored concentratedly.

CONSTITUTION: Plural devices to be monitored (NE) 231 to 237, plural hierarchized intermediate monitoring devices (P-SV, R-SV) 221 to 225 and 211 to 213 and a centralized monitoring device (X-SV) are provided. The plural devices to be monitored (NE) are connected with the centralized monitoring device (X-SV) through the plural hierarchized intermediate monitoring devices (P-SV, R-SV). The centralized monitoring device (X-SV) is provided with the time control table corresponding to each of the plural devices to be monitored (NE) and the plural hierarchized intermediate monitoring devices (P-SV, R-SV). In the time control table, the latest fault generation information is recorded.
