The transmitter-receiver is provided with a 2-channel multiplex trans-demultiplexer (TDMAX) 5, a 6-channel multiplex TDMUX 6, a 6-channel multiplex trans-multiplexer (TMUX) 7, and a 2-channel multiplex TMUX8. The TMUX converts the multiplexed time division multiplex (TDM) signal into a frequency division multiplex (FDM) signal. Furthermore, the inversion to above, FDM TDM conversion is realized by the TDMUX. Then an FDM signal in channels 1, 4 are converted into TDM signals by the TDMUX6, demultiplexed and re-multiplexed into a channel dependent signal by a speech signal demultiplexer/multiplexer circuit 9 and assembled again into the FDM signal by the TMUX 7 and the resulting signal is transmitted.
