Title:
Fe-B-R PERMANENT MAGNET HAVING CORROSION-RESISTANT FILM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3423299
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Fe-B-R permanent magnet, which is covered with a corrosion-resistant film that contains no hexavalent chrome and is superior in adhesion with respect to the magnet, restrained from deteriorating in magnetic properties, even if it is made to stand for long hours under condition of the temperature being 80°C, and relative humidity being 90%, superior in thermal shock resistance for withstanding a heat cycle of -40°C to 85°C over a long time, and capable of stably displaying its high magnetic properties.
SOLUTION: A metal oxide film of thickness 0.01 μm to 1 μm is formed on the surface of a Fe-B-R permanent magnet through the intermediary of a metal film, where the metal oxide film is formed of metal oxide component that contains the same metal components as for the above metal film.
