Title:
FE-CR-AL ALLOY EXCELLENT IN MANUFACTURABILITY AND HAVING HIGH STRENGTH AT HIGH TEMPERATURE AND HIGH HEAT RESISTANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04120247
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an Fe-Cr-A alloy excellent in oxidation resistance and manufacturability and having high strength at high temp. and high heat resistance by specifying a composition consisting of Cr, Al, P, Ln, Ti, Nb, and Fe and also limiting impurity content.

CONSTITUTION: This alloy is an Fe-Cr-Al alloy which has a composition containing, by weight, 18-28% Cr, 4.5-6.5% Al, 31/233X(Ln+0.021) to 0.1% of P, >0.06-0.15% Ln (lanthanoide series), 0.02 to (0.03+4×C+24/7×N) of Ti, and >(0.1+93/12×C+93/14×N) to 2.0% of Nb, also containing, as impurities, ≤0.02% C, ≤0.02% N, ≤0.03% (C+N), ≤0.003% S, ≤0.5% Si, ≤1.0% Mn, and ≤0.3% Ni, and having the balance essentially Fe and also has high strength at high temp. and high heat resistance as well as superior manufacturability. This alloy is suitable for heat resisting stainless steel foil used for catalyst support for combustion exhaust gas cleaning device.
