Title:
FE-CR ALLOY EXCELLENT IN CARBURIZING RESISTANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3212131
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To suitably apply an allay in a carburizing environment by incorporating specified amounts of Cr, C, N, O, P, S, Sn, As and Sb therein.
CONSTITUTION: The objective Fe-Cr allay has a compsn. contg., by weight, 5 to 60% Cr, ≤100ppm total of C, N, O, P and S and one or more kinds selected from Sn, As and Sb and satisfying the inequality of 0.01wt.%≤Sn+3As+3 Sb≤0.1wt.%. At the time of reducing the content of the impurities such as C, N, P, O and S present in the conventional Fe-Cr alloy and regulating its purity into high one, its workability is improved as well as its carburizing resistance is improved. At the time of incorporating specified amounts of Sn, As and Sb therein, its carburizing resistance is furthermore improved.
