Title:
FE-CR-CO TYPE MAGNET ALLOY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5531136
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a magnet alloy having superior magnetic characteristics, easy to heat treat, and exhibiting high fluidity in a molten state by simultaneously adding a specified amt. of Zr and Si to a Fe-Cr-Co type alloy.

CONSTITUTION: The magnet alloy consists of Cr 17W45%, Co 3W35%, Zr 0.01W 5%, Si 0.1W5% and the balance Fe. An alloy of the above compsn. is refined in a high frequency electric furnace, and the resulting molten alloy with superior fluidity is cast into an ingot, which is hot rooled to a 5mm thick plate. This plate is then soln.-heat-treated, treated in a field of 4000Oe at 630°C for 1hr and slowly cooled from 600°C to 480°C at a cooling rate of 100°C/16h. Thus, a magnet alloy is obtd. having superior magnetic characteristics such as residual magnetic flux density, coercive force and max. energy product.
