Abstract:
The present invention is directed to an electronic device (1800) having an extendable section containing a microphone (1802) for inputting information by voice, where in an open position, the extendable microphone (1802) is extended towards a user's mouth. In addition, the device has a keypad (1801) and where the microphone (1802) is used in a data entry method combining voice/speech of a user and the key press. In order to select a symbol on a key, the user presses the corresponding key and simultaneously speaks the symbols.
