PURPOSE: A feed for eel having improved growth promoting effect, causing no occurrence of a parasite, obtained by blending a feed with a substance containing an attractant such as body fluid extracted from a tubificid, an amino acid, etc.

CONSTITUTION: A granular blended feed for young eels whose diameters are taken into consideration is coated with body fluid extracted from a tubificid or amino acid having properties to attract eels and constructed so that it is settled in water, to give the desired feed for eel. The prepared blended feed shows more improved growth promoting effect than the supply of an exisitng tubificid as a feed, and a parasite such as trichodina, dactylogyrus, etc., which is liable to occur by the use of the tubificid as the feed, will not occur. Instead of coating the blended feed with body fluid extracted from the tubificid humor or the a mino acid, the attractant may be dropped into a bascket for making eels take to feeding in water or to the top of the feed so that eels are attracted.
