PURPOSE: To obtain a feed containing a large amount of an ω3-based highly unsaturated fatty acid such as docosahexaenoic acid(DHA) effective in reduction or suppression of a rise in low-specific gravity cholesterol in blood, activation of cerebral functions, prevention of adult diseases, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This feed for fowls contains a tuna oil having ≤5 acid value and ≤10 peroxide value and the method for rearing the fowls is to supply the tuna oil thereto. An egg is produced by the fowls reared by this method and an egg product and a food are produced by using the egg. The feed is good in flavor without emitting a fishy smell, has body, flavor and sweetness and is excellent in taste. The high-quality egg can be produced by the fowls and effectively used as a healthy food for various foods.
