Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of power collectors and the noise produced when a plurality of train sets each composed of one or a plurality of serial rolling stocks are run in a state where the make-ups are connected in parallel with each other, by connecting the power cable of one train set to that of the other train set and supplying electric power from one set to the other.
SOLUTION: Another train set B composed of six rolling stocks #9-#14 is connected in parallel with one train set A composed of eight rolling stocks #1-#8. After connection, the cable connecting device 5 housed in the leading stock #9 of the make-up B comes out of the stock #9 and is connected to a cable connecting device 5 housed in the leading stock #8 of the set A. Consequently, the power collector 2 and transformers 3 of both sets A and B are mutually connected and the sets A and B are collectively fed with electric power. Therefore, the installed number of the current collecting devices 2 can be reduced as compared with another set composed of the same number of rolling stocks and the noise produced when a plurality of train sets are run in a state where the sets are connected in parallel with each other can be reduced.
