Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively deodorize, by adding an adsorptive catalyst on deodorizing and passing the suction air together with generated ozone through the catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: The suction side (a) of a deodorizing device 2 extended and also suspended from the outer peripheral edge of a toilet seat 1 is connected to the suction opening 4 at the bottom face through the air path 3 in the toilet seat 1. An ozone generator 6, a catalyst 7, and a fan 8 are set in sequence in a ventilation path 5 from the suction side (a) to the delivery side (b). The air in toilet stool is sucked as much as 7-35 times of the volume in the toilet stool per min. to conduct it to the catalyst. Ozone is here generated so that the ozone concentration reaches the range 0.5-2ppm. The sucked air and ozone gas is conducted to the honeycomb-shaped catalyst which has a specific surface area with 50m2/g or more and a contact area with 0.01-0.35m2 per air volume of 1m3/hr and further, the number of cell with 100-400 cell/sq. inch. The deodorizing device 2 is operated before use of the toilet and forced to continuously operate for more than one minute after use.
