Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed water supply system including a self-priming pump capable of improving a pump performance at the time of liquid pumping-up operation without decreasing a self-priming performance at the time of self-priming operation.SOLUTION: A feed water supply system 1 comprises: a self-priming pump 2; a motor 3 for driving the self-priming pump 2; and a control part 7 for controlling an operation of the self-priming pump 2. The self-priming pump 2 comprises: an impeller 15; a pump casing 6 having an impeller chamber 23 storing the impeller 15 and a gas-liquid separating chamber 27 positioned at a downstream side of the impeller chamber 23; a baffle 9 arranged in the gas-liquid separating chamber 27 against which fluid discharged out of the impeller chamber 23 strikes; and a turning mechanism 40 for keeping the baffle 9 at its initial position where mixed fluid of water and air strikes at the time of self-priming operation and turning the baffle to a waiting position where flow of water striking against the baffle 9 is avoided at the time of liquid lifting-up operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
