To provide a feeder for continuous materials which can be operated at high speed and with which production cost or the like is reduced by simplifying a configuration and lightening the weight by using a ball spline for a clamping device.
This feeder for continuous materials capable of intermittently feeding the continuous materials by using the ball spline and a cam mechanism includes: a moving clamping device 40 having a moving main body 41, a spline outer cylinder 30 rotatably held on the moving main body 41, a cam 32 fixed to the spline outer cylinder 30 and a clamp mechanism 50 capable of holding the continuous materials 10 by driving of the cam 32; a spline shaft 70 which is inserted into the spline outer cylinder 30; a rotational driving means 80 for driving each cam 32 by rotating the spline shaft 70; and a reciprocative driving means 90 for feeding the continuous material 10 by reciprocating the moving clamping device 40.
