To provide a feeder for a rod-like article capable of enhancing feeding speed while stabilizing unloading of the rod-like article from a hopper.
The filter rod feeder 4 pneumatically feeding a filter rod through a pneumatic feed pipe toward a filter attachment is provided with the hopper 8 for the filter rod F. A one side wall 14 of the hopper 8 positioned on the rotating-in side of an upper drum 10 includes from the lower side a lower wall portion 18 which a first gradient θ1, a vertical wall portion 20 having a plurality of blowholes 24 blowing out compressed air along the lower wall portion 18, and an upper wall portion 22 of a second gradient θ2. The first gradient θ1 is set within a range (60°) of 1/2-3/4 of a right angle, and the second gradient θ2 is set at an angle of 76° between the right angle and the first gradient θ1.
