PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the involving of a blank into rolls and to improve the shape of a product by arranging a guide apron at the outlet side of the embossing rolls and forming a thickness reduction part at the one side of tip edge in the inserting direction.
SOLUTION: The one side of tip edge of the blank 1 is formed as a step part 1a by reducing the thickness as in a step-shape or tapered shape, and this part is inserted toward the lower roll 4 side easily involving the blank to start the rolling. The step part 1a is made to have the thickness so that transfer of the die surface of the lower roll 4 is not acceptable. The reverse surface side of the step part 1a is pressed with the upper roll 3 and bent toward the lower roll side 4 but is not involved and can surely be laid on the guide apron 6. Further, according to progressing of the rolling, the tip part of bend- deformed part is advanced while supporting on the guide apron 6, and the working force for detaching the following side of the blank 1 from the roll 4 is generated while using this tip part as a supporting point. Then, the height of upper surface of the guide apron 6 is made to near the center side between rolls from the outer surface height of the roll 6.
