PURPOSE: To dehydrate cakes without clogging even at high pressure by placing a web over a base cloth woven by using monofilaments of synthetic fiber at least as either warps or wefts.

CONSTITUTION: A base cloth 13 of a lateral double cloth is woven with warps 11 and wefts 12. A web 14 of synthetic fiber having a comparatively high denier is placed on the base cloth 13, and combined by needling. A web 15 having a comparatively low denier is further placed thereon, and combined again with needling. By said combination, a base cloth layer part 16, a lower felt layer part 17, and an upper felt layer part 18 are successively formed in order from the lower part. The upper felt layer part 18 is most densely formed, and the base cloth layer part 16 is most coarsely formed. Monofilaments of synthetic fiber are used at least as either the warps 11 or the wefts 12 of the base cloth 13 to obtain a netty body having comparatively coarse meshes.
