Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a felt needle serviceable for a longer period by designing the wear of respective barb parts to be made uniform.
CONSTITUTION: This felt needle has an axial part, a second blade, blade 13. The blade 13 is provided with plural barbs 14 each having a trapezoidal press surface 14a tilted at an angle α with the vertical axis rectangular to the blade axial line. And, the envelope angle θ for these barbs 14, i.e., the tilt angle of both the sides of the press surface 14a is set at ≤55° correspondingly to the tilt angle α of the press surface 14a, and based on this angle θ, the bottom width dimension and tip width dimension of the press surface 14a and the height dimension H of the barbs 14 are specified.
