PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive and flexible female material for a face fastener, capable of manifesting excellent peel strength and tensile strength and having a small thickness.

CONSTITUTION: This female material for a face fastener is obtained by laminating a staple fiber web containing ≥50wt.% heat bonding fibers on a woven or a knitted fabric, needle punching, entangling and integrating both, passing a part of the staple fiber web through the woven or knitted fabric, forming 2-20 loops per cm2 on the surface of the woven or knitted fabric and then heat- treating the resultant laminate at a higher temperature than the melting point of the heat bonding fibers.
