Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a female screw of a cylindrical member accurately and easily in a female screw formation device and method for a cylindrical member disposed on a container.SOLUTION: A pitch of a female screw to be formed, a pitch equal to height of a screw thread, and a male screw having height equal to that of the screw thread, are formed on an inner peripheral surface of a log 1. Then, in a state that a tool 3 in which outer diameter of a male screw is formed to become smaller than inner diameter of the female screw formed on the inner peripheral surface of the log 1 is pressed, workpiece drive means 2 and tool drive means 4 are rotated and driven synchronously, for forming the female screw on the inner peripheral surface of the log 1 by plastic machining.
