Title:
FENDER LINER FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010047231
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a fender liner for a vehicle which can reduce a Cd value by suppressing air stream turbulence outward in a vehicle width direction of a tire in a wheel house and which can improve driving stability by straightening the air stream in an underfloor space of a vehicle.

The fender liner 1 disposed over the wheel house of a vehicle body and provided with a spat 3 at a front end 1c includes an inlet 3a for an air flow formed near the spat 3, an arch section 1d formed along the wheel house, a hollow section 1g introducing the air flow from the inlet 3a to a rear end 1e via the arch section 1d, and a suction hole 4 formed on an internal side of the wheel house at the arch section 1d for sucking the air flow into the hollow section 1g so that, when the vehicle is travelling, air in the wheel house is sucked through the suction hole to be discharged to the back of the underfloor space of the vehicle body through the hollow section 1g by the difference between a pressure generated when the air flow blocked by the spat 3 is introduced from the inlet 3a to the back of the vehicle through the hollow section 1g and a pressure inside the wheel house.
