Abstract:
A mounting structure for mounting a plastic fender panel to a frame member of a vehicle body is disclosed. The mounting structure includes a support disposed between the fender panel and the frame member and supports the fender panel. The support includes a support main body, mounting parts and a deformable part. The support main body extends along the front-rear direction of the vehicle. The mounting parts are separated from each other in the front-rear direction of the vehicle and are mounted to the frame member. The deformable part projects toward the upper surface of the frame member froma part of the support main body located between the mounting parts. The deformable part deforms plastically when the deformable part is pressed against the frame member by a collision load acting fromabove the fender panel.
