To provide fermented papaya product-containing soap containing a fermented papaya product that has high hydroxyl radical-erasing activity and also has singlet oxygen-erasing activity.
Glucose, lactic acid bacteria, amylase, and an enzyme for fermented soybean paste are added to and mixed with a wild immature papaya fruit naturally growing in the ground where ultraviolet radiation is strong. The mixture is then left at rest and fermented. Then mixture is added and blended with glucose and dried. The resultant product is left at rest and aged for a long term, such as at least six months, thereby producing the fermented papaya product that has the hydroxyl radical-erasing activity of 50-4,000 μg/mL when described as an IC50 value and the singlet oxygen-erasing activity of 40-3,000 μg/mL when described as an IC50 value. The fermented papaya product-containing soap is produced by containing 1.0-10.0 wt.% of the fermented papaya product.
