Abstract:

To provide a ferrite composition, which is constituted of safe elements for human bodies, has low electric resistance and is capable of suppressing cracks in a sintered body, and to provide a biomedical electrode using the same.

The ferrite composition includes 60-90 mol% of Fe2O3and 10-40 mol% of MO (where M is at least one selected from Ni, Mg, Cu and Zn) and has a spinel structure. When the amount of Fe2+content present in the spinel structure is measured based on the amount of FeO, the following formula is satisfied: b≥0.630a-30.7 where a is Fe2O3(mol%) and b is the amount of FeO (wt.%).
