Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely fix a case on a cable and to mount it on the cables of various dimensions, without damaging insulating layers or the like. CONSTITUTION: The case is composed of a pair of plastic case half bodies 20 and 22, which can be mounted around the peripheral face of a cable 24 in bivalve-shape and installed around the cable 24, while housing one of ferrite core half bodies 12 and 14 respectively. The respective case half bodies 20 and 22 have semicircular recessed parts, and plural triangular pawl elements 34 and 36 are extended inward to the recessed parts and are arranged outward while forming an angle. The top ends of these pawl elements 34 and 36 are cut, so that the opening parts of small diameter can be formed at the respective recessed parts. When the cable 24 larger than these opening parts is engaged with a noise-preventing device, on the left and right confronting sides of a closed main body 10 of the cable, the pawl elements 34 and 36 are strongly engaged with the cable 24, while being bent outward and the axial movement of the cable can be blocked.
