To provide a ferritic stainless hot rolled steel sheet for cold rolling with which the workability, particularly, bending workability of a cold rolled steel sheet is not influenced by production conditions on an after cold rolling which is ordinarily performed, and to provide its production method.
A steel slab having a composition comprising, by mass, 0.03 to 0.06% C, 0.20% Si, 0.6 to 1.0% Mn, 0.040% P, 0.010% S, 0.01% Al, 0.05% N and 15 to 20% Cr, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is reheated to 1,000C, is subjected to hot rolling in which finish rolling finishing temperature is controlled to 900C, and is coiled at 780C, so as to be a hot rolled steel sheet, and thereafter, the hot rolled steel sheet is annealed at 860C, so as to produce the hot rolled steel sheet for a ferritic stainless cold rolled steel sheet.
