Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel ferrocene-based compound as a catalyst ligand to achieve improved conversion in the alkoxycarbonylation reaction of long-chain olefins such as 2-octene or di-n-butene.SOLUTION: A Pd complex comprising a compound of formula (I) is used for the alkoxycarbonylation: where R-Rare each independently selected from -(C-C)- alkyl, -(C-C)- cycloalkyl, -(C-C)- heterocycloalkyl, -(C-C)- aryl, and -(C-C)- heteroaryl; and at least one of the R-Rradicals is a -(C-C)- heteroaryl radical having at least six membered ring atoms.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
