Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a ferromagnetic material having a large residual polarization value and capable of being applied to various display devices, etc. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer comprising vinylidene fluoride in an amount of 70-90mol% and trifluoroethylene, as the principal components, and having a mol.wt. of 30000-300000, a Curie point of >=70 deg.C, an enthalpy change of >=24J/g at the melting point by DSC measurement and an enthalpy change of >=5J/g at the Curie point. The ferromagnetic thin film is obtained by coating a substrate with 0.1-20wt.% of a solution of the copolymer having the above composition in an ether-based solvent and subsequently baking the solution at 80-160 deg.C.
