Abstract:

To provide a fiber Bragg grating physical quantity measuring instrument which can carry out physical quantity measurements at multiple points in a short period of time with high accuracy and reliability while being less affected by changes in ambient temperature.

The instrument is equipped with: a signal processing/ ontrolling device 10 which previously stores reflection time information of pulse light being determined from a connection position of a fiber Bragg grating sensor 4 and outputs a timing signal, based on the information, being used for subjecting a reflection light pulse train signal of the fiber Bragg grating sensor 4 to an A/D conversion process; an A/D converting device 12 which carries out digitizing processes for every one or more pulse signals in the reflection light pulse train signal of the fiber Bragg grating sensor 4 by using the timing signal from the signal processing/controlling device 10; and a signal computing device 9 which processes output data being output from the A/D converting device 12 and corresponding to a plurality of incidences of light, and calculates a physical quantity by using data of the reflection light pulse train signal.
