Title:
FIBER ADHESION DETECTING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ROTARY ROLLER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3205208
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To detect the adhesion of single fibers to a roller set up in high- temperature solution by measuring the width of fibers accounting for a bunch of fibers and detecting the adhesion of the fibers to the rotary roller when the measured value is reduced a preset amount or more.
CONSTITUTION: An analog signal is received from a light receiving element for a CCD camera 2, converted into a digital signal, compared with a threshold value and given binary treatment that an output signal from the light receiving element to detect the width range W1-W3 of toes 1a-1c with small light entering amounts is zero and an output signal from the light receiving element to detect the gap width range W5-W8 of the toes with large light entering amounts is 1. The total number of light receiving elements is calculated when it is zero and the total width ΣW of the toe width W1-W3 is calculated by multiplying the total number by the toe width per light receiving element to measure the width of the toe at the exit. If the total width XW of the toe is reduced a preset amount or more, adhesion to be detected is defined.
