This fiber bale is manufactured by a method including the following steps: fibers are compressed; a package which is formed in a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape around the fibers, includes a top wall, a bottom wall, and a plurality of side walls, and in which at least one of the walls includes an evacuator; the package is sealed;the package is evacuated through the evacuator to create an internal pressure within the package less than ambient atmospheric pressure; and then compression is released.
