Abstract:

To provide a fiber base material capable of improving interlaminar strength without causing reduction of an inplane strength of a resin molded article in the resin molded article obtained by filling a two-dimensional sheet-shaped fiber structure in a matrix resin.

The fiber base material for reinforcing the resin molded article is a single body or a laminate of two or more of two-dimensional sheet-shaped fiber structure constituted of spun yarns. The two-dimensional sheet-shaped fiber structure has voids having a diameter of 50 μm or more and 1,000 μm or less among fiber bundles of the spun yarns at 100 voids/cm2or more and 1,000 voids/cm2or less, and voids having a diameter above 1,000 μm at most at 2 voids/cm2, and is obtained by subjecting the structure to raising finishing.
