Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the inexpensive fiber breakage detector having a high performance.
CONSTITUTION: The detector S attached to the lappet angle 16 of a spinning frame is provided with a long frame 1 having an opening corresponding to the travel position of a fiber from each spindle, and with a substrate 5 on which an optical detection sensor 6 for detecting the fiber breakage of each spindle is disposed so as to project from the opening 2. Light emitted from the light-emitting element of the detection sensor 6 is reflected on a fiber from the spindle and subsequently received in a light-receiving element to detect the presence of the traveling fiber.
