To improve to suit to the high band width and the low latency requirement of a fiber channel by receiving a data frame by a first port, striping extending plural memory modules in a center memory and generating a message showing a housing memory module to send to a destination port.
At the time of receiving and confirming one frame, a G port 114 houses it in one of a pair of buffers assigned to the center memory 108. The port 114 reads a frame contents from the memory 108 at the time of being capable of transmitting the frame and sends it to a transmitting interface. When the port 114 completes the removing of one entry per one frame from a transmitting queue inside it, a destination G port daughter board 105 sends a finishing message to the G port 114 receiving the frame to make it possible to reuse the buffer of the memory 108.
