PURPOSE: To provide a composite linear article excellent in mechanical strength by twisting fiber cores containing a thermosetting resin, and a method for producing the same.
CONSTITUTION: A fiber core impregnated with a thermosetting resin is heated to convert the thermosetting resin into a semi-cured state. and collected fibers are closely lapped on the outer periphery of the fiber core, or other collected fibers are further closely lapped on the outer periphery of the lapped fibers in the reverse direction. A plurality of the obtained fiber cores are twisted with each other and subsequently heated to produce a fiber composite linear article in which the semi-cured thermosetting resin is perfectly cured. Thereby, the leakage of the resin is prevented without using a powdery drying agent.
