Title:
FIBER COMPOSITE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009167397
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a fiber composite high in transparency, low in water absorption, and low in linear expansion coefficient.

In a fiber composite containing a fiber of not larger than a 30 nm average fiber diameter and a matrix material, the fiber composite has not higher than a haze of 5 at a thickness of 100 m of the fiber composite specified in JIS K7136 specification. The method of manufacturing the fiber composite contains a process in which a fiber having an average fiber diameter of not larger than 30 nm is obtained by fibrillating a fiber by ejecting the fiber in an ultra-high homogenizer from a pressure of not lower than 100 MPa to a reduced pressure and/or by a supersonic ray with not lower than 1 W/cm2 effective output density at a frequency of not lower than 15 kHz and not higher than 1 MHz, and a process in which the fiber having an average fiber diameter of not larger than 30 nm is composed with the matrix material.
