Abstract:
To provide a method capable of easily measuring the length of fibers of various shapes.SOLUTION: A fiber length measuring method of this invention includes: a sample preparation step (51) for placing fibers to be measured in close contact with the surface of a substrate; an image acquisition step (52,53) for acquiring a microscope image containing the fibers; a fiber detection step (54) for detecting fibers based on the microscopic image; a peripheral length calculation step (55) for calculating the peripheral length of the plane image of the fiber in the microscope image with respect to the fiber detected in the fiber detection step (54); and a fiber length calculation step (56) for calculating the length of the fiber based on the peripheral length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
