Abstract:
To provide a device for manufacturing fibers, which have uniform size, adequate thickness, uniform length, no damage and require no chemical treatment such as a measure to deal with waste fluid, at low cast in simple processes.SOLUTION: A device comprises: a cutter member that has one or a plurality of blades with tips having acute cutting edge at an angle of 10 to 150 degrees in lateral direction and is attached at right angle or an angle of 0 to 90 degrees with respect to fiber direction of an object 2 in planar view; regulation plates 11a, 11b that regulate projection allowance of the tip of the cutter by abutting on the object in a direction perpendicular to or substantially perpendicular to the fiber direction of the object; a cutting blade for cutting a groove in the direction perpendicular to the fiber direction of the object; a cutting depth regulation portion for regulating cutting depth by contacting the object; a movable body with parallel axis for moving a cutter holder to which the cutter is attached in parallel with the fiber direction of the object; and a movable body with orthogonal axis that moves the cutter holder to which the cutter is attached in a direction orthogonal to the fiber direction of the object and is attached to a movable portion of the movable body with parallel axis.
