Abstract:
To provide a fiber material having unconventionally excellent virus inactivation effect, above all, expressing the excellent inactivation effect to SARS (sever acute respiratory syndrome) viruses.
The fiber material having the virus inactivation effect contains a metal pyrithione-based compound expressed by general formula [I] fixed on fiber surface and/or dispersed in the fiber as a virus inactivation ingredient. In general formula [I], n expresses an integer of 1-4; M expresses a metal and preferably expresses at least one metal selected from a group consisting of Na, Zn, Fe, Cu and Ag.
