Title:
FIBER MULTIAXIAL SHEET AND PREFORM FOR PRODUCING FIBER-REINFORCED PLASTIC USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2015145547
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber multiaxial sheet in which creasing, gap widening between fibers, twisting or the like hardly occurs when a preform is made thereof or when fibers are compounded with a resin and molded; and to provide a preform for producing a fiber-reinforced plastic using the same.SOLUTION: A fiber multiaxial sheet of the present invention is a fiber multiaxial sheet produced by stacking a plurality of layers each comprising multiple fiber bundles arranged at a prescribed angle θ and by knitting and fixing the multiple fiber bundles with knitting yarns. A width L1 of each fiber bundle and a knitting pitch L2 of the knitting yarns satisfy the relationship: L2≥(1/sinθ)×L1 (θ is an absolute angle of the fiber bundles with respect to the lengthwise direction of the fiber multiaxial sheet and satisfies: 0°<θ<90°). As a result, carbon fibers forming a slit yarn have a degree of freedom (flexibility), so that creasing, gap widening between the fibers, twisting or the like hardly occurs even when deformation occurs during molding.
