Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber block including an optical isolator capable of achieving high isolation without increasing an alignment point.SOLUTION: An optical fiber block 100 including an isolator 20 for isolating return light to an external substrate mounting LDs comprises: a GI fiber 3 for converting light inputted from the LD into collimation light to be outputted; a substrate 10 having a groove formed to linearly fix the GI fiber 3; a lid for pressing and fixing the GI fiber 3 fixed in the groove to the substrate 10; and an isolator 20 arranged to be optically connected with the GI fiber 3 in a recessed part in which the lid 13 and GI fiber 3 provided on the substrate are removed. A scale providing a position reference is formed in parallel to the groove in the light propagation direction of the GI fiber 3 on the substrate, and the lid 13 is transparently formed so as to read the scale.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
