The long optical element part 11 of an optical fiber drop cable 1 includes: an optical fiber 3 which is composed of one or more optical fibers, coated optical fibers or coated optical tapes; at least a pair of tension bodies 7 arranged in parallel on both sides in the width direction of the optical fiber 3 interposing the optical fiber 3; and a jacket 9 for covering the outer circumference of the optical fiber 3 and the pair of tension bodies 7. Further, optical fiber drop cable 1 is characterized in that the jacket 9 encloses protection members 5 which have a rhombic cross section in the cross section perpendicular to the plane of the X-axis which passes through the center of the optical fiber 3 and the pair of tension bodies 7, and are disposed on both sides in Y-direction orthogonal to the X-axis interposing the optical fiber 3 with a distance.
