Title:
FIBER OPTICAL LIGHT GUIDE AND PHOTO-SETTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3111421
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide incident light in the form of a high intensity converged beam as the whole of a conductor under the maintenance of the characteristic of each fiber approximately equivalent to the characteristics of parallel fibers by tapering each fiber in the conductor, and grouping many fibers for further forming a bundled taper shape.
CONSTITUTION: The lamp filament 12 of a light source 10 is laid on an optical axis 13 therein, so as to reflect a conical shape of light from a reflector 11 toward a focal point where a light guide 15 is positioned. Also, each fiber in a conductor is formed to have a taper, and many fibers so tapered are grouped to further form a bundled taper shape. According to this construction, light converged from the light source 10 through the reflector 11 or the like is introduced to the conductor, and transmitted to the end through many fibers arrayed inside. In this case, each fiber is tapered and the whole of the conductor comes to have a further bundled taper shape. The light is thereby emitted from the end of the conductor as a high intensity converged beam.
