This inspection device comprises an image pick-up camera 12 for picking up an image of the fiber package conveyed by a conveyor 10, concretely, a surface of the pirn 11 of the glass fiber yarn, a suction device 13 for sucking the thread end of the fiber to remove the same from the visual field of the image pick-up camera 12, and a rotating device 14 for axially rotating the pirn 11.
